A year ago, this space looked very different.

What is now the new Bridport home of Angel Carers and the beginning of VERA Environments was once dust, rubble and possibility – a building full of potential, but still far from the calm, welcoming and purposeful space it has become today.

Looking back at the transformation photos, it is incredible to see just how far the space has come. Every wall, every detail and every decision has been part of a much bigger journey – not only to create a new office, but to shape an environment that reflects the values at the heart of Angel Carers.

From the beginning, this project was about more than simply renovating a building. It was about creating a space that could support people properly: a place where care, wellbeing, reflection and restoration could sit side by side.

As the work progressed, what began as a building project became something much more meaningful. It became a journey into how the environments around us can affect how we feel, how we work and how we experience the world.

This belief is at the centre of VERA Environments – a wellbeing space created with care, intention and design. Through sound, vibration, atmosphere and sensory experience, VERA has been developed to support relaxation, emotional reset and wellbeing.

For Angel Carers, this new space represents an important new chapter. It brings together our work in health care with a wider focus on wellbeing, creating a calm and considered environment for care staff, clients, families and the wider community.

The transformation has taken time, planning, hard work and a great deal of thought. From the early stages of construction to the finishing touches, every part of the journey has helped shape the space into what it is today.

Now, what was once dust and rubble has become a place with purpose – a place to work, pause, reflect and support wellbeing.

We are incredibly proud to be bridging the gap between health care and wellbeing, right here in Bridport, and we are excited to see how this new space continues to grow and support the people who use it.

This is only the beginning of VERA Environments – and a very special new chapter for Angel Carers.
