Carer of the Month – September 2025

Carer of the Month - Emma Hunter

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Emma Hunter has been chosen as our Carer of the Month for September 2025.

Next month marks an incredible milestone for Emma as she celebrates seven wonderful years with Angel Carers. During that time, she has become a truly valued member of our team – someone who embodies everything we stand for: kindness, dedication, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Emma is one of those people who light up every room she walks into. Rain or shine, she greets everyone with a smile and a positive attitude that brightens the day for clients and colleagues alike. Her calm, reassuring manner instantly puts people at ease, and her laughter and warmth have made her a firm favourite with everyone she visits.

Her care journey began when she was just 19. She started out helping in care homes, and it quickly became clear that she had a natural gift for caring for others. “I started cleaning in care homes,” Emma says, “and they asked me to pick up a few shifts because I was always good with the residents – and I’ve never looked back.” Over the years, she has gained her Level 3 qualification and worked in a variety of care settings before finding her home at Angel Carers.

Emma’s decision to join Angel Carers was also about finding a role that worked around her family life. With her son Tyler’s busy schedule and the time she devotes to helping care for her mum, the flexibility of domiciliary care has been the perfect fit. “It just works,” she explains. “I can fit my work around my family and still do a job I love.”

Her clients regularly praise her for her kindness and communication, and she is known for her ability to adapt quickly to each client’s needs. Whether she’s supporting someone living with dementia, taking a client shopping, or helping them enjoy a coffee out in town, Emma brings patience, empathy, and joy to everything she does. She often goes above and beyond, even on her days off, if she knows it will make a difference for someone in need. It’s this level of attention and care that makes Emma so exceptional – she truly sees each person as an individual and takes pride in making their day a little easier and brighter.

Emma is also an incredible support to her fellow care workers. She’s the first to offer help when the team is short-handed and always willing to share advice or lend an ear. Her colleagues describe her as dependable, down-to-earth, and endlessly kind – someone who makes everyone around her feel supported and valued.

After nearly seven years, Emma has built many strong relationships and holds countless special memories of the people she’s cared for. She speaks fondly of her regular clients and the bonds she’s formed over time. “It’s when clients tell you they’re grateful, or when you see the difference you’ve made,” she says. “They’re so thankful, and that means everything.”

Emma’s unwavering positivity, her commitment to doing her very best for every client, and her willingness to go the extra mile make her an inspiration to us all. She truly embodies the heart of Angel Carers – compassionate, professional, and devoted to improving the lives of those she supports.

We couldn’t be prouder to have Emma on our team. Please join us in congratulating Emma on being named our Carer of the Month for September 2025, and on her upcoming seventh anniversary with Angel Carers.

Thank you, Emma, for your dedication, your warmth, and the light you bring to everyone you meet. You are an absolute credit to our team, and we’re so lucky to have you. 💙
