Carer of the Month Award – Late Announcement for November

Published: Jan, 2026
Carer of the Month - Denise Fussell

Although this announcement comes a little later than planned, we couldn’t let the moment pass without recognising someone truly special. Denise has shown herself to be an exceptionally hardworking and compassionate care worker, consistently going above and beyond in her role. Always ready to lend a hand, support others, and bring positivity into every situation, she has become a valued and respected member of the Angel Carers team.

Denise is known for her positive attitude and her willingness to step in wherever she is needed. Whether supporting a colleague, reassuring a client, or taking on new challenges, she approaches every situation with professionalism and genuine care.

While training to become a Moving & Handling Train the Trainer, Denise has already demonstrated her commitment to developing her skills and putting learning into practice. During a recent visit, she arrived to find a client on the floor. An ambulance had already been called, but thanks to the up-to-date knowledge and confidence she had gained through her training, Denise was able to calmly and safely support the client to stand independently. As a result, the client was unharmed, reassured, and the ambulance was able to be cancelled – a fantastic outcome for everyone involved.

This situation perfectly highlights Denise’s ability to remain calm under pressure, apply her training effectively, and always act in the client’s best interests. Her dedication to learning, combined with her natural compassion, makes her a huge asset to our team.

👏 Well done, Denise, and thank you for your continued hard work and commitment. November’s recognition is truly well deserved! 👏
