We’re delighted to celebrate Isabelle Skillend-Vos, known to us all as Izzy, as our Carer of the Month for October 2025!

This month, we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on Isabelle (Izzy) Skillend-Vos, our latest Carer of the Month winner. Although Izzy only joined us in February this year, she has quickly become an integral and treasured part of the Angel Carers family and has already made a remarkable impression on clients and colleagues alike. In just a few short months, she’s blossomed into a confident, compassionate, and dependable member of our team through her gentle consistency, willingness to learn, and the wonderful calm she brings into every home she visits. Her development has been a joy to watch, and her dedication to providing compassionate, person-centred care shines through every day.

From her very first shift, it was clear that Izzy had a natural gift for this role. She arrived with a genuine instinct for supporting others and an eagerness to build her skills one step at a time. In a role where each day can look entirely different from the last, that steady, thoughtful approach has allowed her to grow at an incredible pace. Her calm and reassuring manner brings comfort to everyone she supports, and she approaches every new situation with patience, positivity, and a smile. Whether it’s meeting a new client for the first time or stepping into an unfamiliar routine, Izzy takes each challenge in her stride.

One of the most impressive developments in Izzy’s journey so far has been her decision to step up and join the on-call rota. This is an area many carers ease into slowly, but Izzy embraced it with quiet confidence. This is no small responsibility, especially for someone still in their first year with us, and we are incredibly proud of the professionalism and maturity with which she has taken it on. Being on call requires problem-solving, reassurance, and the ability to support colleagues during unexpected moments – and she has done so with the same calm steadiness she brings to her daily visits. It has been inspiring to see her grow into this role so early in her Angel Carers career.

We’re so proud of how far Izzy has come in such a short time. Her kindness, curiosity, and can-do attitude perfectly capture the caring spirit that Angel Carers embodies.
